These are made from solid Beech that has been affected by a process called spalting. This is a natural process that occurs when fungi colonise wood, extract nutrients from the wood’s cells, leaving behind a distinctive pattern, markings and discolouration. Spalted wood is highly valued due to its unique and visually appealing patterns.
These pieces have been air dried for 6 years with a low moisture content and are ready to be transformed into the table of your choice.
Behind the finished pieces are the rest of the  same Beech, waiting to be crafted into a table of your choosing - select your piece and instruct me to create a piece of furniture which will take pride of place in your home offering a natural warmth to any room.
All tables will undergo a 4-stage sanding process - 120, 180, 240 and 320 grit before being finished with 3 applications of quality danish oil.
